Youth Initiative Scholarships

South Texas Equality Project in collaboration with RGV PRISM are proud to have awarded 54 scholarships totaling $29,000 to LGBTQIA+ students and allies from the Rio Grande Valley since 2017.

Ideal applicants for the STEP Youth Initiative Scholarships are students who identify as LGBTQIA+ or are allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. Applicants should demonstrate a significant potential to exceed as community leaders and role models, and show a desire to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ Community.
